Započeo je mjesec testova i ispita… Akademska godina je pri kraju i učenici, kao i polaznici raznih tečajeva vjerujemo marljivo uče i pripremaju se za ispite. Koristimo riječ ispit, a ne test jer ove dvije riječi podrazumijevaju drukčije provjere znanja.
Kad se piše ispit, a kad test?
We have entered the month of exams. The academic year is coming to a close and we believe that pupils and students, as well as participants of various courses are studying hard to prepare for their exams. We are using the word EXAM, not TEST as these two words refer to two different inspections of knowledge.
EXAM is a more formal version of a test since it measures the knowledge of a student on a number of lessons or at the end of a learning cycle.
Example: “In order to obtain an international certificate of Business English, we have to pass the exam that consists of four skills.”
ISPIT predstavlja formalniji oblik testa budući da provjerava znanje učenika za više lekcija odnosno polaže se na kraju jednog većeg ciklusa učenja.
Primjer: „Kako bismo zaslužili međunarodni certifikat poslovnog engleskog jezika, moramo položiti ispit koji se sastoji od četiri vještine.“
TEST is a short exam that a teacher gives to his or her students at the end of a lesson and it is usually not very formal.
Example: “The course consists of different topics and grammar sections. After each completed topic has been discussed or grammar section you will take a short test.”
TEST je kratki ispit kojeg ispitivač daje svojim učenicima na kraju nastave tog dana i u pravilu nije vrlo formalan.
Primjer: „Tečaj se sastoji od različitih tema i gramatičkih cjelina. Nakon svake obrađene teme ili gramatičke cjeline, pisat ćete kratki test.“
Curiosity:
QUIZ is a type of test, more informal and even shorter than a test. Unlike test, it does not have a greater impact on the grade at the end of the learning cycle.
Example: “The teacher gave us a short quiz at the beginning of the lesson to check how much we know about English verb tenses.”
Zanimljivost:
KVIZ također predstavlja vrstu testa, jednako neformalne prirode i još kraćeg sadržaja od testa. Za razliku od testa, kviz nema velikog utjecaja na završnu ocjenu na kraju ciklusa učenja.
Primjer: „Profesor nam je na početku nastavnog sata dao kratki kviz kako bi provjerio koliko zapravo poznajemo engleska glagolska vremena.
